Foundation Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy
Important Information - Please read before applying.
Applications and Admission
Admission is subject to application, interview, and suitability for the programme.
We reserve the right to decline applications where we do not believe the programme is the right fit for an applicant’s current circumstances, learning needs, or professional development.
Places are limited and applications may close before the advertised deadline once the programme reaches capacity.
Attendance and Participation
This is an experiential programme requiring regular attendance and active participation.
Students are expected to attend all online seminars and in-person teaching weekends wherever possible.
A minimum attendance requirement applies for successful completion of the programme.
Experiential Learning
The programme includes personal reflection, experiential exercises, skills practice, and group discussion.
While personal development is an important aspect of training, the programme is educational in nature and does not constitute therapy or psychological treatment.
Participants remain responsible for seeking appropriate support outside of teaching hours should they require it.
Conduct and Confidentiality
Students are expected to contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment.
Personal information shared by participants during the programme must be treated as confidential and not discussed outside the learning environment.
We reserve the right to withdraw a student’s place where conduct is considered harmful, disruptive, discriminatory, or inconsistent with the values of the programme.
Fees
Course fees must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.
Deposits are non-refundable except in the event that the programme is cancelled by The Good Mental Health Company.
Programme Cancellation
While we fully intend to run all advertised programmes, there may occasionally be circumstances that require us to cancel or postpone a programme. In such circumstances, any fees and deposits paid directly to The Good Mental Health Company will be refunded in full.
Our liability is limited to the refund of fees paid directly to us and does not extend to any associated costs incurred by applicants, including travel, accommodation, or loss of earnings.
Course Changes
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to teaching staff, venues, schedules, course content, or delivery methods where necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.
Certification
Certificates are awarded upon satisfactory completion of the programme’s attendance and assessment requirements.
Progression
Successful completion of the Foundation Certificate does not guarantee admission to any subsequent training programme. Applications for further training will be considered separately and subject to the relevant admissions process.
